Meeting Minutes




Official proceedings of the Board of Trustee’s, Town of Chatsworth, held in the Town Council room at 7:30 p.m.


Roll call showed the following present: President Haberkorn, Trustee Miller, Birkenbeil, Wiles, Diller and Kubiak. Trustee Runyon absent. Attorney Weeks, Town Clerk Birkenbeil and Zoning Commissioner Bartlett also present. Treasurer Gerdes-Hibsch absent.


A motion by Trustee Miller and seconded by Trustee Birkenbeil to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.


Board of Trustee votes 5 Yea.



Sergeant Mitchell reported there were 28 calls, 3 citations and 2 accidents for the month of November. Sheriff Martin Meredith had to cancel addressing the public questions and concerns and will reschedule.


Attorney Weeks up dates: January 11,2011 Board of Trustee meeting will submit the resolution for the binding law enforcement referendum to be placed on the April 5, 2011 ballot.


Rail America Pending contract – Board of Trustees requested Attorney Weeks to send correspondence to Rail America requesting a one – time buy out at a cost determined by Attorney Weeks.


Auditors report ending April 30, 2010 submitted to the Board. Trustees asked to take home to review and will have discussion and approval at next meeting on January 11, 2011.


Akshar Plastic, Inc representative Fred Rotermund addressed the Board on the new recycle company which will be located at the 7942 N 3350 East Rd Route 24.


Chatsworth TIF Joint review Board meeting – January 12, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Town Hall. Trustee Terry Miller will be the Town representative. A public representative will be appointed at a later date.


As of January 1, 2011 Steven Maxson will serve as the certified waste water operator for the Town of Chatsworth water treatment plant.


President Haberkorn and the Board of Trustees acknowledged Gary Kinney’s retirement and thanked him for his 27 years of service presenting him a plaque.

He also thanked the public works department for the good job of snow removal for the recent snow storms.


Trustee Miller remarked that we may need to start reviewing the possibility of some updating on the water plant in the near future.


A motion by Trustee Diller and seconded by Trustees Kubiak to pay bills as presented and issue vouchers for the same.





A motion by Trustee Birkenbeil and seconded by Trustee Kubiak to Adjourn.
