Tuesday, October 25, 2011, Regular Board of Trustee meeting

Official proceedings of the Board of Trustee’s, Town of Chatsworth, held in the Town Council room at 7:30 p.m.

Roll called showed the following present: President Haberkorn, Trustee Runyon, Miller, Wiles, Price and Kubiak. Also present were Zoning Commissioner Bartlett and Superintendent Ledford: Trustee Birkenbeil absent.

A motion by Trustee Wiles and seconded by Trustee Miller to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Board of Trustee vote: 5 Yea

Sheriff’s report: received after the meeting, there were 57 calls and 4 citations in the month of September.

Lawyer’s report: Received a brief summary of what he is currently working on.

Rail America: this matter has gone on for quite awhile and the Board needs to decide what they what to do to bring this to a close. 

410 East Hickory: The Town has sent an invoice for the cost of clean up at 410 E. Hickory in the amount of $2114.00, the review hearing is October 27, 2011 at 3 pm.

505 East Walnut: The complaint has been filed and an appearance date has been set for November 9, 2011 at 9am.

 205 East Elm: Will file the complaint in the next few days and set the appearance date for November 9, 2011 at 9am.

Other nuisance matters: Complaints are in the process of being filed.

 President Haberkorn stated at this time would like to appoint Robert Schroen to the Zoning Board. A motion by Trustee Miller and seconded by Trustee Runyon to appoint Robert Schroen to the Zoning Board. Board of Trustee vote: 5 Yea

Trustee Runyon report: Have been looking at Trees in town and there is one tree on 5^th & Oak that may have the Emerald Ash Boar: working on having this tree checked out.

Trustee Wiles report: The Employees have been doing a great job with the tree trimming in town.

Trustee Miller report: There has been approximately $6000 spent on the sand filter and it is still not draining properly. Hopefully it will get us through the winter: we are going to have to get this resolved in the spring. We also need more meters or need to decide what we are going to do about updating the water plant.

A motion by Trustee Miller and seconded by Trustee Wiles to pay bills as presented and issue vouchers for same. Board of Trustee vote: 5 Yea

A motion by Trustee Wiles and seconded by Trustee Kubiak to adjourn.
