Meeting Minutes


Tuesday, February 8, 2011, Regular Board of Trustee meeting



Official proceedings of the Board of Trustee’s, Town of Chatsworth, held in the Town Council room at 7:30 p.m.


Roll called showed the following present: Trustee Wiles, Kubiak, Diller, Runyon and Miller: Trustee Birkenbeil, Town Clerk Birkenbeil and Zoning Commissioner Bartlett absent. Also present was Treasurer Gerdes-Hibsch and Attorney Weeks. President Haberkorn seated at 7:35 pm.



A motion by Trustee Wiles and seconded by Trustee Runyon to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Board of Trustee vote 5 Yea


Attorney Weeks delivered the new ordinance books. 1 book is to be given to the Library, 1 book for the Deputy Sheriff, 2 books kept at Attorney Weeks office. The rest will be available at the Town Hall for the public use but will not be allowed to leave the building. Trustee Wiles asked to have a copy of the animal control ordinance sent to Livingston Co. animal control.


Gordon Schroen addressed the board with a proposed bicycle competition in September. 

He gave the Board a map for the competition. He also provided Attorney Weeks a liability waiver for him to review. Attorney Weeks said to also check with the insurance company.

A motion by Trustee Wiles and seconded by Trustee Diller to allow the bicycle competition only with Insurance company’s approval that the waiver will release the Town from any liability.

President Haberkorn congratulated the Town Employees for a great job on the snow removal. He also asked Supt. Ledford to check into Disaster assistance to help the Town with the cost of the blizzard.   


Supt. Maxson informed the Board of the water conference in Springfield March 21st- 24th.

A motion by Trustee Miller and seconded by Trustee Runyon to send Supt. Maxson to the conference at a cost of $275 plus hotel expense.

A motion by Trustee Diller and seconded by Trustee Miller to pay bills as presented and issue vouchers for same.

 Board of Trustee vote – 5 Yea


A motion by Trustee Wiles and seconded by Trustee Kubiak to adjourn.
